The clipper
Comfortable and easy to use with most quickdraw carabiners, bar and wire gate. Wire gates are where cheap stick clips fail — the gate geometry is different enough that a clipper cut for bar gates fumbles them. This one takes both.
The stick
Sturdy but light. Those pull against each other, and the balance here is set for sport climbing: long enough to clip a high first bolt, stiff enough that the draw goes where you point it, light enough that holding it overhead at the end of your arm does not become the crux.

When to choose the other one
If you already hike in with trekking poles, the clip and adapter does the same job using the poles you are already carrying. This one is for everyone else — and for anyone who would rather have a stick built for the purpose.
